Health management of hyperuricemia

The health management of hyperuricemia can be carried out from the following aspects:

1、 Dietary management

1. Control purine intake:
-Reduce the intake of high purine foods, such as animal organs (liver, kidney, brain, etc.), seafood (shellfish, shrimp, crab, etc.), meat broth, hot pot soup, etc.
-Choose appropriate purine rich foods, such as meat (pork, beef, lamb, etc.), beans and soy products, mushrooms, etc., which can be consumed in small amounts but should not be consumed in excess.
-Eat more low purine foods, such as vegetables (except for a few vegetables such as spinach and asparagus), fruits, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, etc.
2. Limit alcohol consumption:
-Alcohol can affect the excretion of uric acid, leading to an increase in blood uric acid levels. Especially beer and Baijiu should be avoided as far as possible.
-Red wine contains certain antioxidants, but it should also be consumed in moderation, not exceeding 150 milliliters per day.
3. Drink plenty of water:
-Maintaining sufficient water intake can help promote the excretion of uric acid. The daily water intake should be at least 2000 milliliters, and you can choose plain water, light tea water, etc.
-Avoid drinking sugary drinks and fruit juices, as the fructose in these drinks can affect uric acid metabolism.
4. Control the total amount of diet:
-Avoid overeating and maintain a balanced diet. Control weight and avoid obesity, as obesity increases the risk of hyperuricemia.

2、 Sports management

1. Choose the appropriate exercise method:
-Moderate aerobic exercise can help reduce weight, improve metabolism, and is beneficial for controlling hyperuricemia. Such as brisk walking, slow jogging, swimming, cycling, etc.
-Avoid vigorous exercise and overwork, as vigorous exercise may lead to lactate accumulation, affecting uric acid excretion and causing an increase in blood uric acid.
2. Persist in regular exercise:
-Engage in at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic exercise per week, which can be divided into 5 days, with approximately 30 minutes of exercise per day.
-It can also be combined with moderate strength training, such as weightlifting, push ups, etc., which can help enhance muscle strength and improve basal metabolic rate.
3. Pay attention to sports safety:
-Before exercising, it is important to prepare for warm-up activities such as moving joints and stretching muscles; During exercise, it is important to maintain correct posture and movements to avoid injury; After exercise, it is important to engage in relaxation activities such as massage, stretching, etc.

3、 Lifestyle adjustment

1. Quit smoking:
-Smoking can affect the body's metabolic function and may exacerbate hyperuricemia. Try to quit smoking and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
2. Avoid staying up late:
-Maintain a regular sleep schedule and avoid staying up late. Adequate sleep helps with the recovery of the body and the normal functioning of metabolism.
3. Control emotions:
-Long term mental stress and pressure can affect the endocrine function of the body, which may lead to an increase in blood uric acid. We should learn to regulate our emotions and maintain a relaxed and happy mood.

4、 Regular monitoring

1. Blood uric acid test:
-Regularly undergo blood uric acid tests to understand one's own blood uric acid levels. It is generally recommended to check every 3-6 months.
-If the blood uric acid level continues to rise or gout symptoms appear, seek medical attention promptly and adjust the treatment plan.
2. Other inspections:
-Hyperuricemia patients may also be accompanied by other metabolic diseases, such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, etc. Regular check ups should be conducted, such as blood pressure, blood lipids, blood sugar, etc., in order to detect and treat complications in a timely manner.

5、 Drug therapy

1. Follow the doctor's advice on medication:
-If dietary and lifestyle adjustments cannot effectively control blood uric acid levels, medication treatment should be carried out under the guidance of a doctor.
-Commonly used uric acid lowering drugs include allopurinol, febuxostat, benzbromarone, etc. The appropriate medication should be selected according to individual circumstances.
2. Pay attention to adverse drug reactions:
-Different uric acid lowering drugs may have different adverse reactions, such as allopurinol causing allergic reactions, febuxostat causing liver dysfunction, and benzbromarone causing gastrointestinal discomfort. During the medication process, attention should be paid to observing the body's reactions and seeking medical attention promptly if there are any abnormalities.
